Walnut Dovetail Countertop

The dovetail joint is one that is common in millwork to join two pieces of wood together. In this application, we connected the walnut waterfall edge to the GFRC countertop using the joinery. The detail was a very meticulous one that required a good deal of work to ensure a tight fit while also allowing room for the expansion and contraction of the materials. The finished product is a beautiful marriage of a concrete countertop and solid wood edge.
